1.External networking
Contacts with ‘YES for Europe’, a trans-national organization of young employers based in Brussels, have been carried on. The Vice President of YES, Mr. Rui Delgado, has been invited at the OPCE Board of Directors hold in Berlin (October 14th 2005). The cooperation with YES will continue about:
- exchange of information regarding the young entrepreneurship in European OPCE capitals;
- exchange of documents about the two organizations and the mutual permission to use them for study purpose.
2. Internal networking.
Last May, the Group leader invited by email the OPCE members to join a ‘virtual’ council of Young Entrepreneurs and Managers (< 40 y.o.). Too few members answered till now. We want to stress the point that is very important to increase the number of young entrepreneurs and officer involved in the OPCE activities. We expect that in the next weeks the council could start with at least 10 members.
3. “SBEC project - Starting a Business in European Capitals”
Which are the national and local facilities for young people that want to start an enterprise in an European capital city? Is it easier or harder to start a business in the country capital or in other towns?
These are the aims of a short document that OPCE Young Employers Group would like to present at the next OPCE congress in Rome.
For the success of the project the cooperation of all the members is necessary; so we invite each organization to fill a format that will be send by email in the next weeks. The information we want to collect are:
- are there national and local facilities for young people to stimulate the creation of enterprises in your capital city?;
- are there specific financial aids for young employers/ young enterprises?;
- are there business incubators in your region?
Of course, this report should be made in cooperation with the similar activity carried on by the benchmarking group’s study about the creation of enterprise (see the minutes of the last Bod). |
